Not sure, I didn't stay at travel lodge golden. The hotel advertised was a travel lodge but over a year ago moved to a new location. This hotel was ok, but it doesn't have the amenities that were advertised. No hot tub, no breakfast. But to the hotels credit they reduced my already good price and offered us an upgraded room.

Not the location as advertised. The travel lodge golden is now a new hotel located on hwy. 1 No breakfast included and the hotel is old.

Central location down town allows walking to downtown events.

The runners along the outside hallways were grubby. The coffee/tea making supplies in the guest room were cheap (plastic stir stick, no spoon) and old (coffee whitener was lumpy and hard). The breakfast facilities were housed in a small room in which two people would get in each other's way. The counters were messy as no one appeared to be tending to the place. There was no seating space to eat breakfast so one has to carry the styrofoam dishes and cups back to the guest room across the car park and upstairs, if you are on the upper floor. What was on offer for breakfast - a choice of three cereals and a very cheap and uninteresting muffin - does not compare with breakfasts offered in other motels I have stayed at.

It's hard to believe that Travelodge would put their name to this dive. I agree with previous comments by others; service is poor, makes you feel you're unwanted there. AC doesn't work, sink doesn't drain, stains on wall unwashed. Free breakfast is a farce and no place to sit; grab your Corn Flakes and get out. This place is way over priced.

Run-down, old hotel with NO amenities. Would not stay there again.

The face cloths were soft.

Everything else was not acceptable.

It was within walking distance of shopping and dining.

This lodge was very dated, not clean, and very over priced for the condition. I have stayed in Golden, BC previously and had better accommodations for a lot less cost.

The price is too high for what you get. Room is dated and is somewhat rundown. The room was warm, and the air conditioner couldn't cool it down

Centraly located loved being downdown . Seen more of the the character of the town than staying at a hotel neer the highway.

My wife found the bed too hard and I liked it .

The free Wi-Fi did work.

The room was not very clean. The breakfast was very minimal, coffee was not good with only powdered creamer. Orange juice was powdered tang. Only white bread for making toast. Three cereals to choose from. Breakfast had to be taken back to room-no where to sit to eat in breakfast room. Would not recommend this hotel to friends.

In the morning the free continental breakfast was not open and the girl in the lobby said she had other things to do first and could not give a time as then she would open it. The soundproofing between walls was non existent....noisy Gravel trucks and logging trucks going by...noisy Almost all bulbs burnt out in fixture.

Clean rooms, walking distance to all of town, food, etc., quiet area for a good nights sleep.

Ice machine was not working. Due to Canada Day holiday, hotel was unable to get it fixed in a timely fashion. Very understandable.

No Fridge or microwave, bathroom door didnt shut well

It was too short a trip to review Travelodge and have an opinion on things over one night's stay. However, we liked that rooms were neat and clean, we for double beds as promised.

We stayed in this hotel only for a night. However, we found that the front desk atent neither gave us the wifi details nor mentioned that complimentary breakfast is available, which based on my extensive travel I know is usually done and expected these days. We also found that wifi signal were either not available most of the time, and when it did, the signal was very week - only one bar. Wen we complained, front desk gave us one more wifi ID and pwd, which also had the same issue as the original one. When I mentioned about it next day while checking out, I was told that there is a wifi problem, which I felt was just an excuse.

No swimming pool but on line booking said yes. What a liar. Air conditioner was so noisy just 2 feet from where I sleep.

Centrally located

Bathroom shower had long hairs on wall, cover fell off our travel partners air conditioner, old building should not be priced nearly so high for a room. Air conditioner very noisy, bathroom very small water tap in tub is set backwards so hot comes where it should be cold and vice versa. Outlet over sink would not work.
